KALOKAGATHIA IN THE SYSTEM OF CIVIC EDUCATION

Abstract. The system of civic education is based on the principle of kalokagathia proposed in Ancient Greece, which implies the harmonious development of a person’s physical, intellectual, and moral qualities. Underestimating any of these three components leads to imbalance and a crisis in social relations. Even a person’s physical development, and especially mental and spiritual ones, are components of the public good.
